Clinical Geneticist

About the role

iGenetX is seeking a Clinical Geneticist to join its Cairo team. The role combines expert interpretation of genetic test results with direct support for physicians and patients, contributing to both clinical care and precision‑wellness programs.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient histories and select appropriate genetic tests.
• Interpret sequencing data, variant calls and other laboratory results.
• Write clear, clinically relevant reports for referring physicians.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and wellness program initiatives.
• Collaborate with laboratory and data teams to ensure quality, accuracy, and protocol development.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Medicine with specialization or training in medical genetics or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in clinical genetic testing, variant interpretation and reporting within accredited laboratories.
• Strong knowledge of clinical genetics, genomics and patient‑centered care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality and continuous professional development.
