Cloud & Infrastructure Consultant

About the role

Link Development is seeking a Cloud & Infrastructure Consultant to design, build, and maintain enterprise‑grade private cloud and on‑premises solutions. The role combines hands‑on technical work with stakeholder collaboration to deliver secure, highly available infrastructure for critical business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage private cloud and on‑premises infrastructure, including virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Deploy and administer Windows Server environments, IIS web farms, and enterprise middleware.
• Install, configure, and optimise Microsoft SQL Server, covering backup, clustering, performance tuning and high availability.
• Administer enterprise web platforms and CMS solutions like SharePoint, Sitecore and OutSystems.
• Create secure networking, storage and server architectures, including load balancing, firewalls, SSL certificates and reverse proxies.
• Develop and maintain documentation for architecture, disaster recovery, operational procedures and deployment standards.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, web applications, databases and integration issues across hybrid environments.
• Ensure compliance with security, patching, backup, monitoring and operational best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise infrastructure, private cloud or application‑hosting environments.
• Proven ability to work with customers and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and propose solutions.
