About the role
Advansys is looking for a Controls Engineer I to design and deliver electrical and automation systems. The role covers motor and IO lists, safety and protection requirements, cable sizing, communication networks, device layouts and schematics, PLC programming, HMI and SCADA design, and commissioning support.
Key responsibilities
- Design hardware systems based on input information, including Motor List, IO List, FDS, safety requirements, short-circuit and voltage-drop calculations, protection selection, cable sizing and communication network design.
- Design and produce electrical device layouts and schematic drawings using AutoCAD, EPlan P8 and similar tools.
- Design PLC programs according to the system description and functionality.
- Configure PLC hardware and industrial networks such as Profibus, Profinet, ASi, CAN and Ethernet.
- Design HMI programs with Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View, WinCC Flexible or Vijeo Designer to monitor and control system components.
- Design SCADA programs to monitor and control system components.
- Perform pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup and standby support.
Required profile
- Engineering degree in Communications, Power or Mechatronics.
- 0 to 2 years of experience.
- American citizenship, Green Card or visa.
