Controls Engineer II – Automation & PLC Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Controls Engineer II to design and develop control system hardware and electrical drawings, and to support PLC programming and commissioning activities. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable automation solutions for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop control system hardware and electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation.
• Support development, modification, and troubleshooting of Allen‑Bradley PLC control systems.
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Assist with FAT, SAT, commissioning, and start‑up activities at customer sites.
• Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and project engineering teams.
• Review engineering drawings to ensure designs meet project standards and specifications.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from design through commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience in controls engineering, industrial automation, or a similar field.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AutoCAD for electrical/control system design.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting, preferably with Allen‑Bradley PLCs.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system drawings.
• Willingness to travel for site installation, commissioning, and customer support.
