Database & Security Manager

About the role
Fawry is seeking a senior leader to own its database platforms and data‑security strategy. You will ensure high performance, resilience and regulatory compliance across a large‑scale fintech environment.
Key responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall database and data‑security strategy.
- Lead, mentor and expand a team of DBAs and security engineers.
- Guarantee high availability, optimal performance and robust disaster‑recovery processes.
- Own data‑protection measures, access‑control policies and compliance with PCI‑DSS and ISO standards.
- Oversee incident management, root‑cause analysis and continuous operational improvement.
- Promote automation, DevOps practices and ongoing platform optimisation.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in database administration and security, with proven leadership.
- Deep expertise in Oracle, Db2, SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Strong background in performance tuning, high‑availability, disaster recovery and security controls.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams in high‑scale environments.
