Database & Security Manager

About the role

Fawry is seeking a senior leader to own its database platforms and data‑security strategy. You will ensure high performance, resilience and regulatory compliance across a large‑scale fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall database and data‑security strategy.
• Lead, mentor and expand a team of DBAs and security engineers.
• Guarantee high availability, optimal performance and robust disaster‑recovery processes.
• Own data‑protection measures, access‑control policies and compliance with PCI‑DSS and ISO standards.
• Oversee incident management, root‑cause analysis and continuous operational improvement.
• Promote automation, DevOps practices and ongoing platform optimisation.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in database administration and security, with proven leadership.
• Deep expertise in Oracle, Db2, SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Strong background in performance tuning, high‑availability, disaster recovery and security controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams in high‑scale environments.
