Director of Health & Safety

About the role

The Director of Health & Safety leads the daily operations of the security and loss‑prevention department, ensuring the protection of guests, employees, and property assets. This senior position oversees compliance with legal safety standards, manages emergency preparedness, and drives accident and fire‑prevention initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Administer fire‑prevention programs and emergency‑preparedness plans in coordination with engineering.
• Conduct quarterly OSHA and safety audits, hazard assessments, and incident tracking.
• Develop and enforce shutdown procedures, key‑control guidelines, and monthly checks of CCTV, alarmed doors, and duress alarms.
• Lead patrols, investigations, and the Accident Prevention Committee.
• Oversee first‑aid programs, claims handling, and workers’ compensation cases.
• Communicate safety procedures, monitor compliance, and resolve guest or employee safety concerns.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED with 4 years security/loss‑prevention experience, OR
• Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field with 2 years relevant experience.
