Director of Revenue – Hotel

About the role

The Director of Revenue will lead the hotel’s revenue strategy, maximizing profit and market share through effective inventory and pricing management. Reporting to senior management, this role balances stakeholder needs while driving data‑based decisions across all distribution channels.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present the annual room budget and business plan, delivering accurate 12‑month revenue forecasts and 90‑day segment forecasts.
• Monitor market conditions, analyse performance data, and produce month‑end commentary covering segmentation, country statistics, room‑type optimization, upselling, top accounts, GDS, website and STR performance.
• Develop and deploy sales and pricing strategies, maintain rate structures, demand calendars and upsell plans.
• Ensure PMS, RMS, CRS and third‑party sites are optimised for content and data throughout the booking window.
• Safeguard rate integrity across all reservation channels for the next 365 days.
• Manage inventory, oversell strategies, group displacement analysis and block pickup, especially during peak periods.
• Lead weekly revenue meetings, provide updates to the Executive Committee and ensure cross‑departmental alignment.
• Organise training sessions on systems, data entry standards, revenue‑management concepts and KPIs.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in hotel revenue management.
• Strong analytical abilities and a data‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting forecasts and strategic updates.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple hotel departments and external partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS).
• Experience using Revenue Management Systems (RMS).
• Knowledge of Central Reservation Systems (CRS) and Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
• Advanced data analysis and forecasting capabilities.
