Electrical Engineer – Steel Factory

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our steel manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for ensuring reliable power supply and optimal performance of high‑voltage equipment in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on high/medium voltage substations, transformers, and switchgear.
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimise PLCs and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Lead technical teams during emergency electrical failures to restore production safely.
• Enforce Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out (LOTO) procedures and national electrical safety codes.
• Design, test, and implement electrical modifications for aging machinery and control panels.
• Track equipment performance data and maintain accurate electrical schematics using CAD software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in a steel mill, foundry, or heavy‑manufacturing facility.
• Direct experience with Electric Arc Furnaces, Continuous Casting Machines, or Rolling Mills is highly preferred.

Required skills

• PLC programming (Ladder, Function Block).
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) configuration and troubleshooting.
• CAD software for electrical schematics.
• Industrial power distribution and motor control centers (MCC).
• Three‑phase motor systems maintenance.
