Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will work on‑site in Alexandria, ensuring the reliable operation of electrical equipment in a cement plant. This full‑time position involves routine and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MV/LV electrical systems, motors, drives (VFDs) and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Execute maintenance plans in coordination with operations teams to minimise downtime.
• Document maintenance activities, equipment performance and update maintenance records.
• Support reliability improvement projects and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and production teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of electrical maintenance experience in the cement industry.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, motors, VFDs, switchgear and PLC‑based control systems.
• Proven ability to conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and root‑cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Current residence in Alexandria, Egypt.
