Electrical Site Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

The Electrical Site Engineer will lead the execution of electrical works on construction sites, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and execute electrical installations according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor installation of power, lighting, low‑current, earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical and MEP teams to ensure smooth project progress.
• Review and implement shop drawings, technical submittals and method statements.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity and quality.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, electrical codes and safety standards.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Assist in testing, commissioning and hand‑over activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during execution.
• Coordinate with consultants and stakeholders to achieve successful delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–9 years of experience in construction and contracting projects.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting, low‑current and grounding systems.
• Proven experience in site supervision and project execution.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes and industry standards.
• Effective communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
