Electrician – Light Voltage

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a skilled Electrician specialized in low‑voltage systems to join its engineering team in Cairo. You will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment and wiring in accordance with national and local codes.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning tools, equipment, and electrical systems.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
• Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to verify system performance.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring and fixtures based on job specifications and the National Electric Code.
• Read and follow blueprints and schematics.
• Respond to repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and manage inventory of parts and supplies.
• Adhere to all safety, security, and company policies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of related electrical work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 lb and perform fine‑motor tasks.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Experience using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and local electrical codes.
• Electrical wiring installation and troubleshooting.
