Export Sales Executive – West & Central Africa

About the role

Decotam is seeking an Export Sales Executive to drive sales across West and Central Africa. You will be responsible for expanding market presence, building relationships with key distributors, and achieving sales targets in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Implement export sales plans and achieve assigned market targets.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across West and Central Africa.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors, importers, wholesalers, and key accounts.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities.
• Support market expansion initiatives and increase brand presence.
• Prepare sales forecasts, market reports, and business development plans.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in international exhibitions, trade fairs, and business development activities.
• Ensure timely collection of payments and effective management of customer accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in export sales, preferably in food manufacturing, FMCG, processed meat, canned or frozen food sectors.
• Proven experience in African markets, especially West and/or Central Africa.
• Strong understanding of export procedures and international trade practices.
• Existing network of distributors, importers, and business contacts in target markets is a strong advantage.
• Fluency in English (mandatory) and French (highly preferred).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across assigned territories.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and able to work in a fast‑paced international environment.
