Game Developer (Java/libGDX) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Java‑focused Game Developer to create and maintain simple 2D games using the libGDX framework. The position is fully remote and operates on a contract basis, collaborating closely with AI specialists to generate high‑quality training data through interactive gameplay.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise simple 2D game features using Java and libGDX.
• Collaborate with AI specialists to design engaging interactions and collect training data.
• Implement core mechanics such as sprite management, game loops, and input handling.
• Troubleshoot and debug code to ensure performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and help improve internal coding standards.
• Document technical processes and development workflows for cross‑functional teams.
• Provide regular status updates and seek feedback from teammates.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of Java programming and object‑oriented principles.
• Hands‑on experience with libGDX from coursework, personal projects, or prototypes.
• Understanding of fundamental game development concepts such as game loops, sprites, and input management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fully remote environment.
• Demonstrated interest in building games or interactive applications.
• Willingness to complete an AI interview as part of the selection process.
