General Accountant

About the role

The General Accountant will manage day‑to‑day accounting activities for a Saudi travel reservations company. This full‑time remote position involves preparing financial statements, monitoring cash flow and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate documentation.
• Prepare financial statements and monitor cash flows.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing, budgeting and forecasting.
• Review invoices, process payments and track expenses.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to provide data‑driven insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and account reconciliation.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting closing processes.
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset and ethical financial practices.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g., Excel).
