Graduate Training Program – Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

Join Valeo’s six‑month Graduate Training Program in the R&D team, where you will work on embedded software for automotive applications. You will gain hands‑on experience developing, testing, and integrating software components while collaborating with a multicultural engineering group.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C code for embedded components following defined requirements and design.
• Apply MISRA‑C guidelines and Valeo naming conventions.
• Configure software components and integrate them into the overall system architecture.
• Create and execute component test plans, test cases, and verify functionality on target hardware.
• Run static analysis tools, interpret results, and address identified issues.
• Follow project processes, attend daily/weekly meetings, and report progress.
• Identify and raise potential project risks, propose continuous‑improvement ideas, and document software bugs in the configuration‑management tool.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (2024 or 2025) with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English and Arabic; French is a strong plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented, multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems.
• Knowledge of MISRA‑C coding standards.
• Experience with static analysis tools.
• Understanding of embedded software configuration and integration.
• Test planning and execution for hardware‑targeted software.
