Head of Product - Financial Services

About the role

Yassir, the leading super‑app in the Maghreb region, is expanding into financial services. We are looking for a Head of Product to shape the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of our consumer‑focused fintech solutions, helping users pay, save, and borrow digitally across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive product strategy, roadmap, and development for financial services.
• Create a mass‑market proposition that meets the needs of a diverse user base.
• Deeply understand audience requirements and translate them into product features.
• Align stakeholders, prioritize features, build consensus, and coordinate schedules with broader business units.
• Recruit, coach, and mentor a full team of product managers.
• Promote a culture of testing, data‑driven decisions, and accountability for metrics.
• Provide hands‑on leadership while managing product‑manager line reports.

Required profile

• Strong background in consumer mobile‑app and/or fintech product management.
• Proven experience with payments, e‑wallets, or prepaid cards (must).
• Experience in consumer or business finance is a plus.
• Demonstrated product‑team leadership and delivery of consumer‑facing products that achieve business financial goals.
• Ability to use UX research and A/B testing to find product‑market fit.
• Pragmatic, “can‑do” attitude and skill at structuring ambiguity.
• Experience managing cross‑country teams is a plus.
• French language skills are an advantage.
