Health and Safety Supervisor

About the role

The Health and Safety Supervisor will develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety programs to ensure a safe, compliant, and risk‑free workplace at Bel’s facilities in Egypt. The role proactively identifies hazards, promotes a strong safety culture, and ensures compliance with regulations and corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor health and safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Conduct HSE risk assessments, hazard analyses (HAZOP, FMEA) and ergonomic assessments.
• Establish and maintain emergency response plans, including fire safety, spill containment and evacuation procedures.
• Perform regular inspections, audits and walk‑throughs to ensure compliance with HSE laws and corporate guidelines.
• Prepare and submit required health and safety reports to regulatory agencies and internal management.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive health and safety training for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Promote a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns, safety meetings and communication initiatives.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, near‑misses and environmental excursions, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of safety experience, preferably in FMCG or food‑industry environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Project management knowledge and experience.
