Health Coordinator – Community Health in Aswan

About the role

The Health Coordinator will lead community health activities in Aswan, focusing on refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrant groups. The role involves hiring, training and supervising Community Health Workers, building the capacity of local NGOs and delivering health awareness and screening events.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and supervise Community Health Workers (CHWs) in Aswan.
• Develop and implement health awareness, promotion and screening sessions for vulnerable populations.
• Coordinate with health authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders to advocate for and deliver health services.
• Assess community health needs and support infrastructure and capacity‑building initiatives.
• Monitor, report on activities and ensure compliance with child safeguarding level 3 requirements.
• Manage the Aswan component of a two‑year project funded by Expertise France.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months experience in community health coordination or similar roles.
• Experience working with refugees, migrants or other vulnerable groups.
• Familiarity with health system strengthening and health promotion methodologies.
• Ability to train and supervise CHWs and to collaborate with NGOs and government bodies.
