Health, Safety & Environment Lead

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment Lead will plan, coordinate and implement Geocycle Egypt’s occupational health, safety and environmental program. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures compliance with Group HS&E guidelines and Egyptian regulations while fostering a culture of safe working practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and manage a comprehensive HS&E roadmap to prevent fatalities, lost‑time injuries, fire incidents and occupational illnesses.
• Ensure implementation of the company’s Health and Safety Policy, monitor compliance and recommend new policies and procedures.
• Lead incident investigations, conduct root‑cause analysis and maintain accident statistics using the I‑care system.
• Plan and deliver HS&E training programs and annual training schedules for all staff.
• Prepare regular HS monthly and compliance reports and drive awareness activities.
• Conduct workplace safety audits at preprocessing sites, supplier locations and external sites, and ensure remedial actions are implemented.
• Act as the country focal point for the A Cert Program and manage ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 projects.
• Keep senior and line managers informed of changes in HS&E legislation and codes of practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 projects.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Ability to conduct detailed incident investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Experience in developing and delivering HS&E training programs.
• Excellent analytical skills for accident trend analysis and reporting.
