Housekeeping Manager

About the role

Hyde Park Developments is looking for a Housekeeping Manager in New Cairo City to lead and manage the housekeeping team across its buildings and facilities. The role covers planning, organizing and overseeing all housekeeping operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, quality control and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations across residential, commercial and common areas.
• Develop cleaning schedules and ensure routine and deep cleaning tasks are carried out properly.
• Monitor staff performance and appearance, conduct regular inspections and train, coach and evaluate housekeeping staff.
• Maintain cleanliness standards in line with health and safety regulations.
• Keep adequate stock of cleaning supplies, tools and equipment, coordinating with procurement when needed.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident, client or guest complaints and feedback.
• Coordinate with maintenance and other departments on issues such as pest control and plumbing.
• Prepare and manage housekeeping budgets, including staff scheduling and cost control.
• Maintain records and reports for inspections, incidents and performance reviews.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and sustainability practices in cleaning operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
• At least 8 years of experience in housekeeping, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong leadership, organizational and time-management skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment and techniques.
• Familiarity with health, safety and sanitation standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office and facility management systems (e.g. CAFM software).
