HR Staff Operations Officer

About the role

The HR Staff Operations Officer will ensure accurate and compliant execution of HR processes for staff, covering compensation, benefits, movements and separations. The role supports data integrity in SAP/Success Factors and contributes to reporting and continuous improvement of HR operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for staff inquiries through in‑person, phone, email or front‑office channels.
• Process daily staff affairs such as onboarding, off‑boarding, transfers, leaves, appointments and adjustments in line with university policies.
• Execute and monitor employee benefit programs including pension, health, life insurance and school loans.
• Maintain accurate staff documentation and ensure compliance with AUC policies.
• Update and manage employee data in SAP or Success Factors.
• Communicate HR policies, benefits and procedures clearly to university members.
• Process overtime and payroll documents, ensuring policy compliance.
• Generate periodic HR reports and provide data analysis as required.
• Contribute to evaluating and improving HR operational workflows.
• Perform general administrative duties as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (HR diploma is an asset).
• 7‑9 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in HR.
• Experience in a university or large institution preferred.
• Excellent command of English and Arabic.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, dependable and trustworthy with a customer‑service mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using SAP or Success Factors HR systems.
