HSE Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated HSE Engineer to join our Cairo team. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment management systems across our projects, ensuring compliance with Egyptian regulations and fostering a safety‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update HSE Management Plans in line with local regulations and company standards.
• Create and execute monitoring schedules, including site tours, inspections, audits, and safety assessments.
• Design competency frameworks and training matrices for HSE personnel.
• Lead HSE meetings, workshops, and pre‑start safety kick‑offs with contractors.
• Review and approve contractor HSE plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and implement control measures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑misses, producing detailed reports and recommendations.
• Support emergency response planning and ensure appropriate security and traffic management.
• Maintain HSE documentation and prepare regular performance reports for management.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to contractors and internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Level 5 or higher qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH Level 5, NVQ Level 5).
• Strong analytical abilities and a collaborative mindset.
