HSE Manager – Health, Safety & Environment Leader

About the role

We are looking for a motivated HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental compliance across our manufacturing and maintenance operations. You will develop and implement robust HSE policies, drive a proactive safety culture, and support our sustainability and carbon‑neutrality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, safety tours and audits on production lines, assembly areas and maintenance workshops.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with Egyptian HSE legal requirements and international standards.
• Prepare fire risk assessments, operational plans and manage fire protection equipment.
• Implement and maintain an HSE Management System aligned with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and Hitachi Energy global standards.
• Perform risk assessments (ABRA), LSR self‑assessments and environmental impact assessments.
• Provide technical guidance on machinery safety and support implementation of Machinery Safety Standards.
• Compile non‑conformities, drive corrective actions and close NCRs.
• Deliver induction and job‑specific HSE training for employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents and near‑misses, produce reports and enforce preventive actions.
• Lead hazardous material management, including disposal manifests and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
• 10‑12 years of HSE experience in industrial settings.
• NEBOSH IGC certification or equivalent HSE qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian HSE legislation.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
