HSSE Manager – Health, Safety, Social & Environment

About the role

Goldwind is seeking an experienced HSSE Manager to lead Health, Safety, Social and Environmental performance across its operations in Ras Ghareb, Egypt. The role reports directly to senior leadership and is responsible for shaping strategy, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international lender standards, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and own the regional HSSE strategy, management system and performance KPIs.
• Lead stakeholder engagement, manage grievance mechanisms and oversee social performance programmes such as labour conditions and community relations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate significant HSSE risks while ensuring compliance with IFC Performance Standards and EBRD requirements.
• Mentor and develop a team of HSSE professionals, establishing competence assurance frameworks for critical roles.
• Oversee all HSSE audits, incident investigations and management reviews, reporting results to senior leadership and lenders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of HSSE experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial position within energy, infrastructure or industrial sectors.
• Proven hands‑on experience with IFC Performance Standards and EBRD Environmental and Social Policy.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and implement HSSE management systems.
