Intern, Product Management (Associate Product Specialist)

About the role

Mastercard is recruiting an Associate Product Specialist Intern in its Product Management team in Cairo, Egypt. The internship lets you learn how to develop business cases for new product opportunities, build scalable customer-centric products and see them through to go-to-market, working alongside business and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the team to manage tasks across the product life cycle and monitor progress against key milestones.
• Work with various product lines and technologies, and provide competitive landscape, trends, consumer insights, research and end-to-end program analytics.
• Engage with business and engineering teams to track progress and identify dependencies and risks.
• Contribute to product visions based on market and customer needs, and identify and measure product and business metrics.
• Run iterative experiments to identify and prioritize key features for product releases and the roadmap.
• Project manage strategic initiatives and explore areas such as Analytics, APIs, AI, Cryptocurrency/Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Loyalty, Marketing, Open Banking or Payments.

Required profile

• Expected graduation in Spring 2028.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, using data and insights to support decisions.
• Clear verbal and written communication, able to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaboration with diverse teams, strong organization and time management, and comfort in a fast-paced environment.
• Curiosity about customers, products, technology and market trends, and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Foundational understanding of technology concepts and interest in AI, data, APIs and digital platforms.
