IT Helpdesk Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Helpdesk Specialist to provide fast, effective technical assistance to end‑users. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues, guiding users through solutions and ensuring smooth operation of IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact via phone, ticketing system and email.
• Perform remote diagnostics and guide users through problem‑solving steps.
• Support corporate network components such as switches, routers, VLANs, subnets, DNS and file/print services.
• Configure, deploy and upgrade PCs, laptops and standard software images for new employees.
• Maintain accurate logs of incidents, resolutions and asset details.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher‑level support and relay user feedback.
• Manage and troubleshoot peripheral equipment including printers, scanners and video‑conferencing devices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a help‑desk or technical support role.
• BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Strong customer‑orientation, patience and clear communication skills.
• Proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols.
• Experience with switches, routers, VLANs, DNS, network shares and storage.
• CompTIA A+ certification.
• ITIL Foundation knowledge.
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) – Windows 10.
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Remote troubleshooting and PC deployment.
• Hardware and software upgrade procedures.
• Support for printers, scanners and video‑conferencing equipment.
