IT Specialist

About the role

The IT Specialist will ensure reliable operation of Marriott’s computer networks, workstations and server systems at the Cairo location. You will install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software, while providing end‑user support and training on security best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, test and repair computer networks, LAN/WAN and internet connections.
• Support server systems, workstations, user accounts and telephone rooms.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, respond to program error messages and provide technical guidance.
• Coordinate equipment installations, moves, additions, changes and system enhancements.
• Implement and monitor network security measures and backup procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory of technological devices and manage disk space across the network.
• Train users on proper system use and security, and serve as first point of contact for technical support.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant IT experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to follow company policies, maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety procedures.
