IT Support Technician

About the role

CARMA is seeking an IT Support Technician to install, configure, and maintain its software, hardware, network, and overall IT infrastructure. The role ensures systems run efficiently, securely, and reliably while providing day‑to‑day technical assistance to employees worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Administer servers, laptops, desktops, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones and mobile devices.
• Deploy software, apply security updates and patches, and manage LAN/WAN equipment.
• Maintain the help‑desk tracking system, monitor daily tickets and complete scheduled jobs.
• Update the inventory database for all IT assets and software licences.
• Provision IT equipment and email accounts for new hires, transfers and leavers.
• Diagnose technical issues, run diagnostic tools and implement solutions.
• Conduct regular security monitoring to detect potential intrusions.
• Research and recommend innovative or automated approaches to improve systems.
• Escalate complex issues to the global IT team and comply with CARMA policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Computer Science, CCE or a related field.
• Experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or in a similar support role.
• Previous help‑desk experience with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Good command of English.
• Relevant Microsoft certification is preferred.
