Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Egypt. You will support daily accounting operations, ensure accurate record‑keeping, and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions, focusing on Accounts Payable.
• Prepare and process expense reports, petty cash, and payments according to company policies.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring all required entries are posted accurately and on time.
• Maintain organized documentation of financial records and supporting documents.
• Provide requested documents for external audits in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Perform other finance‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in general accounting.
• Excellent command of English.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
