Junior NodeJS Developer - Chatbot & Conversational AI

About the role

Advansys is hiring a Junior NodeJS Developer in Cairo to build and maintain conversational chatbots. The role covers chatbot flows, natural language understanding (NLU) models, Node.js back-end services and API integrations, working within an Agile team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, configure and maintain conversational chatbot flows using the Microsoft Bot Framework and Microsoft Azure services
• Design dialogue flows, intents, entities, prompts and fallback scenarios based on business requirements
• Build, integrate and optimise NLU models, and continuously improve them by analysing user interactions
• Develop and maintain Node.js back-end services and integrate chatbots with internal and external systems via REST APIs and third-party services
• Write, optimise and maintain SQL queries for data retrieval and management
• Work with business analysts, product owners and developers to turn requirements into conversational solutions
• Take part in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives
• Test, debug and troubleshoot chatbot functionality, APIs and integrations, and investigate production issues with root cause analysis
• Follow software development best practices (version control, clean code, documentation, code reviews) and contribute to technical documentation
• Stay up to date with Conversational AI, Microsoft Bot Framework, Azure, NLU and Node.js
