Junior SOC Engineer

About the role

The Junior SOC Engineer supports daily cybersecurity monitoring and incident response activities. Working closely with the Head of Cyber Security and OT Systems Managers, the role helps improve the organization’s security posture through proactive detection and remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions.
• Investigate and respond to incidents such as malware, phishing, and unauthorized access, escalating high‑severity cases as needed.
• Analyze event logs from endpoints, servers, applications, and network devices to identify anomalies.
• Tune SIEM use cases and correlation rules to reduce false positives.
• Maintain threat detection content using threat intel and frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
• Assist in enforcing access controls, security policies, and compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to produce incident and status reports.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend security improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, eJPT, ECIR, GMON) are a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work under pressure.
