Junior System Administrator

About the role

Advansys is looking for a Junior System Administrator (Application Support Engineer) in Cairo. The role provides technical application support during regular working hours and on-call support when required, keeping business-critical applications available, stable, secure and performant. You will work with technical teams, application owners and infrastructure teams to find root causes and improve system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide application support during working hours and on-call, resolving incidents and service requests promptly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across front-end, application, database and back-end components, and support system upgrades, patches and deployments.
• Monitor application health, performance and availability, and take proactive steps to prevent incidents.
• Perform service restoration within agreed SLAs and coordinate with development, infrastructure, DevOps and database teams during deployments.
• Support integration with back-end systems, APIs and databases, and help identify and fix security vulnerabilities.
• Manage application deployments across environments and prepare technical documentation, incident reports and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in root cause analysis, continuous improvement and support for customer care systems.

Required profile

• Experience supporting one or more of the following applications is highly preferred: RiskWin, CashExtranete, ShopCore.
• Ability to work under pressure, especially during critical incidents and outages, and to handle multiple priorities at once.
• Willingness and ability to provide on-call support.
