Kitchen Technician

About the role

The Kitchen Technician will join Rixos Hotels in Alamein, ensuring that all kitchen equipment and appliances operate safely and efficiently. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting and repair to support uninterrupted kitchen service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform timely repairs.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to prioritize maintenance requests and minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts used and maintenance schedules.
• Support equipment upgrades and ensure compliance with brand and safety standards.
• Liaise with vendors and service providers for specialised repairs.

Required profile

• Strong technical ability to diagnose, maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in kitchen environments.
• Commitment to safety procedures, hygiene regulations and equipment standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for interaction with kitchen staff and suppliers.
• Organisational skills to manage schedules and inventory of spare parts.
• Previous experience in hotel, resort or commercial kitchen maintenance is highly beneficial.
• Relevant technical certification or vocational training is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
