Lead Developer Office of Technology Solutions

About the role

The Lead Developer is responsible for analyzing requirements, providing software solutions, and supporting or automating business workflows. He or she will act as the IT administrator for key university systems, such as student evaluation and faculty workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop, maintain, and enhance systems using approved technologies and coding standards.
• Convert business requirements into automated processes and solution specifications.
• Architect and develop database integration points such as views, functions, and services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and department managers to define and automate workflows.
• Manage development projects and resources, overseeing sprint development, delivery, training, and support for in-house applications.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors for customizations, maintenance, and upgrades, and define support level agreements (SLAs).

Required profile

• B.Sc. in computer science or computer engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least five years in a lead developer role.
• Strong knowledge of web‑development languages, scripting languages, database concepts, and PL/SQL.
