Learning Support Assistant (Co‑Teacher) – Primary

About the role

The Learning Support Assistant (Co‑Teacher) works alongside the class teacher to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for primary students. This role focuses on assisting diverse learners, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop socially and academically.

Key responsibilities

• Support the class teacher during lessons and learning activities.
• Assist in planning, preparing, and organizing classroom resources.
• Provide individual or small‑group support to students as directed.
• Help maintain positive behaviour and effective classroom management.
• Supervise students during class time, breaks, and school activities when required.
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field preferred).
• Fluency in English.
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is an advantage.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, supportive, and enthusiastic about working with children.
