About the role
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) seeks a local legal training consultant with deep expertise in cyber‑investigations and cybercrime. The consultant will design, deliver, and document a series of gender‑sensitive trainings, roundtables, and workshops for law‑enforcement, judicial, and parliamentary stakeholders across the MENA region.
Key responsibilities
- Organise a two‑day roundtable for MENA cybercrime experts and submit a 5‑page gender‑sensitive summary report.
- Develop and deliver two three‑day cyber‑investigative trainings for ACA officers, each with a 4‑page report.
- Lead a multi‑sectoral three‑day workshop on VAW&G, online violence, OCSE, and CSAM, providing a 3‑page summary.
- Conduct two sets of two‑day mock trials on online violence and VAW&G, producing scripts and a 4‑page reflection report.
- Provide a two‑day OSINT investigation training for police officers handling VAW&G cases, with a 4‑page report.
- Facilitate a two‑day capacity‑building workshop for criminal‑justice practitioners on VAW&G, delivering a 4‑page outcomes report.
- Run two sets of two‑day roundtables for Egyptian Parliament officials on cyber‑crime legislation, each with a 4‑page recommendations report.
- Conduct a two‑day roundtable for Cassation Court judges on cyber‑violence against women and girls, with a 4‑page recommendations report.
Required profile
- Proven expertise in cyber‑investigations and cybercrime law.
- Experience delivering specialised training to law‑enforcement, judicial and legislative audiences.
- Strong understanding of gender‑sensitive approaches, particularly risks faced by girls and women.
- Ability to produce concise, analytical reports approved by UNODC.
Required skills
- OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) techniques.
- Cyber investigations methodologies.
