Localization Vendor Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Localization Vendor Manager to oversee the recruitment, qualification and management of external linguistic resources. The role ensures that the right language experts are available on time, within budget and meet project quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, select and develop external linguistic resources across required specializations and verticals.
• Maintain and expand a multilingual vendor database, ensuring sufficient capacity for client needs.
• Define qualification tests, handle test translations and evaluate work samples.
• Support internal departments with data requests and resource requirements for tenders and quotations.
• Negotiate terms and conditions for purchased services and monitor vendor contracts.
• Track freelancer quotas, report status, and act as the escalation point for vendor issues.
• Build partnerships with vendors, focusing on utilization, cost control, quality and commitment.
• Stay informed on industry trends, liaise with professional organizations and universities to promote talent management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years experience in vendor management within the localization field.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; additional language is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and time‑management abilities.
• High sense of urgency and ability to negotiate and persuade.
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
