Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding guests, employees, and assets within the property. Working full‑time on site, you will monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and ensure a safe environment for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control guest room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarm, and fire life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact EMS as needed.
• Assist guests and staff during emergencies and defuse disturbances.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and daily shift summaries.
• Escort unwelcome persons and report vehicle accidents or thefts.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security and loss‑prevention documentation.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unaided (75 lb with assistance).
• Clear, professional communication skills.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training, and uniform standards.
• Capability to read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Physical fitness to respond quickly, including running or jogging when necessary.
