Machining Engineer

About the role

Hanwha Aerospace Egypt is seeking two Machining Engineers to join its manufacturing operations in Cairo. This position is ideal for engineers with 3–5 years of hands‑on machining experience who want to take broader ownership of precision component production.

Key responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings, geometric tolerances and work instructions and translate them into practical machining methods, process sequences, tooling and inspection points.
• Support turning, milling and CNC machining in a high‑mix production environment, creating and modifying NC programs using Siemens or FANUC controls.
• Investigate machining defects, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain stable operation of vertical machining centres, horizontal boring machines and plano milling equipment.
• Coordinate technical issues with production, quality, welding and assembly teams until resolved.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 3–5 years of practical machining experience in industrial or automotive manufacturing.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and applying GD&T.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Cairo and to perform rotating or night shifts as required.

Required skills

• CNC machining and NC programming.
• Experience with Siemens and FANUC CNC controls.
• Strong knowledge of turning, milling, cutting tools and inspection points.
• Ability to analyze machining defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Understanding of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
