Mapping Data Collection Driver – Field Operations

About the role

We are looking for reliable, safety‑focused drivers to join our field teams and support a large‑scale mapping data collection project. Drivers will operate client‑provided vehicles equipped with specialised mapping equipment, travelling across assigned zones to capture high‑quality street‑level data while staying in hotels for extended assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate client‑provided vans or trucks fitted with mapping and data‑collection devices safely and efficiently.
• Collect and upload street‑level mapping data within designated zones, meeting daily and weekly delivery targets.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of vehicles and equipment, and keep accurate inventory logs.
• Identify safe parking locations, secure the vehicle each night and protect all equipment.
• Report any incidents, traffic accidents or technical issues promptly to the Camp Coordinator.
• Coordinate daily assignments and resolve issues in collaboration with field coordinators.
• Travel long distances and work in “hotel mode” for the duration of assignments.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of driving experience, including at least 2 years in a professional setting such as taxi, delivery or logistics.
• Strong, defensive driving style and comfort driving larger vehicles (vans, trucks) in high‑traffic conditions.
• Good English communication skills and a polite, professional demeanor with the public.
• Familiarity with local road networks and ability to navigate using GPS tools.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for tasks such as changing tires or reading vehicle gauges.
