MRP Planner – Materials Planning

About the role

The MRP Planner will lead the weekly Make planning cycle, create and release material plans for assigned product categories, and coordinate with the Bern Make planning organisation. The role also produces a 24‑month rolling monthly materials plan, monitors supply exceptions and works closely with procurement and suppliers to resolve issues.

Key responsibilities

• Create Monthly MRP Plan based on production needs and available inventories.
• Share the MRP plan with the Bern Make planning organisation for relevant SKUs.
• Identify risks and propose constrained scenarios, liaising with MRP Planning Coordinator, suppliers and procurement.
• Validate production and material plans in the Weekly Plan Review Meeting.
• Validate medium‑ and long‑term material availability based on supplier feedback.
• Monitor PR conversions and release purchase orders to suppliers.
• Monitor suppliers’ performance and provide feedback to procurement.
• Check material availability and propose actions for excess or shortages.
• Create inventory projections for RMPM ensuring alignment to targets.
• Analyse gaps and propose mitigation actions.
• Review weekly provision snapshot for finance.
• Create business waste projections to minimise no‑consumption risks.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in material planning or supply planning, preferably in FMCG.
• Experience with product category planning.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent collaboration skills with multicultural teams.

Required skills

• JDA planning system (or similar).
• SAP ERP.
• Microsoft Excel.
• Microsoft Outlook (Microsoft Office suite).
