Patient Care Specialist – Support Programs

About the role

The Patient Care Specialist supports and manages Patient Support Programs, ensuring patients receive timely, compassionate assistance throughout their treatment journey. Acting as a trusted advocate, the role removes barriers to care and expands access to medical benefits worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the line manager and program team in managing Patient Support Programs and liaising with key stakeholders.
• Ensure timely enrolment of eligible patients according to workflow and program timelines.
• Educate and coordinate with patients to facilitate seamless enrollment and medication delivery.
• Maintain accurate patient files and electronic records, preparing regular performance reports.
• Accompany team members on visits to healthcare providers, pharmacies, or support sites.
• Report adverse events and product complaints in line with client requirements and Axios SOPs.
• Provide training and ongoing support to new team members and monitor KPIs.

Required profile

• A degree in a scientific or healthcare‑related field (preferred).
• Hands‑on experience in a healthcare, scientific or NGO environment.
• Experience in data monitoring, management and logistics/supply‑chain coordination.
• Customer service management experience.

• Use of Axios Patient Management System (PMS).
