People Operations Specialist

About the role

Talabat is looking for a People Operations Specialist to support the full employee lifecycle for store staff across its network. You will partner closely with Operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding, effective performance management, and strong employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage onboarding for new store employees and conduct exit interviews to identify turnover drivers.
• Analyze attrition data and help design retention initiatives.
• Support the People Operations Manager in annual cycles such as performance reviews, promotions, pay reviews, and manpower planning.
• Own manpower planning for assigned stores, coordinating staffing plans with Operations stakeholders.
• Assist in talent development, identifying high‑potential staff, succession planning, and performance improvement plans.
• Design and execute employee engagement activities, town halls, and reward & recognition programs.
• Liaise with Employee Relations to handle grievances, investigations, and ensure compliance with policies and labor regulations.
• Coordinate with P&C Core Operations on staff inquiries, payroll questions, benefits administration, and other employee services.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of HR experience in a warehouse, factory, or similar environment.
• Experience in e‑commerce, quick commerce, fintech, FMCG, or retail is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
• Analytical mindset with the capability to use data for decision‑making.
• Resident of Alexandria (must be able to work on‑site).
