Presales Passive Infrastructure Network Engineer

About the role

Audio Technology is looking for a Presales Passive Infrastructure Network Engineer to design and deliver end‑to‑end passive networking solutions for enterprise, telecom and data‑center projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client RFPs, RFIs and architectural drawings to define project scope.
• Design structured cabling systems (Copper Cat6/6A/8 and single‑mode/multi‑mode fiber) following TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC and BICSI standards.
• Create cable containment layouts (trays, ladders, conduits, raceways) and plan pathway capacities.
• Develop MDF/IDF, server room and data‑center layouts, rack elevations, PDU and patch‑panel configurations.
• Conduct site surveys to assess physical constraints and installation requirements.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities and Bills of Materials based on drawings.
• Optimize designs for technical compliance and cost‑effectiveness and respond to technical clarifications during tendering.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or related field (preferred).
• 5‑7 years of experience in enterprise network design or network engineering.
• Relevant industry certification (e.g., CommScope SYSTIMAX, Panduit, Leviton/Legrand/Schneider).

Required skills

• Structured cabling standards (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Cat8, fiber optic).
• Knowledge of TIA/EIA‑568, TIA‑569, TIA‑606 and ISO/IEC 11801.
• Fiber optic termination, MTP/MPO trunking, fusion splicing and Tier 1/2 testing (OTDR).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit (BIM) and MS Visio for layout drafting.
