Product Procurement Team Leader/Lead

About the role

The Product Procurement Team Leader/Lead will oversee the end‑to‑end procure‑to‑pay cycle for QNB, ensuring optimal pricing, timely deliveries, and compliance with internal policies. You will coordinate with internal procurement, tender, and contract teams while managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead vendor selection in partnership with the I‑Procurement & Suppliers Registration team.
• Evaluate commercial offers using qualitative and quantitative criteria.
• Participate in decision‑making to choose the most suitable suppliers.
• Assess sales representatives of manufacturers, wholesalers, and agents for suitability.
• Coordinate with Tenders Management and Contracts teams on terms and conditions.
• Review invoices and ensure all required documentation is complete.
• Supervise preparation and dispatch of RFPs, purchase orders, and tender calls.
• Manage purchasing agreements for assets, logistics, marketing, and office supplies.
• Oversee gift purchases and bank donations in line with top‑management guidance.
• Validate purchase orders for policy compliance and review cost‑price reports quarterly.
• Handle supplier complaints, delivery issues, and enforce penalties when necessary.
• Mentor sub‑ordinates and ensure adherence to compliance, AML, operational risk, and workplace guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply‑chain management.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex procurement processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience reviewing financial information.
• Excellent planning, negotiation, and organizational capabilities.
