Professional IT Business Application Specialist

About the role

The Professional Information Technology (Business Application) role is based at NDB Headquarters in Shanghai. You will be responsible for implementing, enhancing, and supporting the bank’s business applications, ensuring they meet international standards and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Extend support to various business areas, delivering integrated and scalable application solutions.
• Design, deploy, and continuously improve business applications to meet evolving requirements.
• Provide production support, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and user assistance.
• Ensure all solutions comply with international best practices, regulatory frameworks, and internal governance.
• Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams, identifying state‑of‑the‑art processes and future‑proof solutions.
• Design, source, implement, and maintain cost‑optimized solutions with solid business acumen.
• Engage stakeholders to understand needs, negotiate requirements, and present solutions.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and develop technology interventions.
• Prepare clear documentation and communicate requirements to internal and external parties.

Required profile

• Experience with institutional application systems such as HR, process control, compliance, internal service portals, digital workflow, corporate procurement, and workspace collaboration.
• Proven ability to act as a bridge between business and technology units.
• Strong analytical skills to assess and propose future‑proof processes and solutions.
