Project Engineer II – SCADA & RTU Specialist

About the role

The Project Engineer II will support the implementation, commissioning and maintenance of Schneider Electric SCADA solutions on utility projects. You will be responsible for hardware installation, configuration, point‑to‑point testing and troubleshooting of SCADA and related communication equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and test UPS, VPS, GPS, terminal servers, network switches and cabling.
• Perform substation activities such as UPS installation, TCG configuration and point‑to‑point testing, including permits and shutdown coordination.
• Import, map and configure SCADA data; conduct FAT, SAT and other project phases.
• Test and troubleshoot SCADA, communication networks and metering equipment.
• Respond quickly to client‑reported bugs, perform triage of software and hardware defects, and maintain clear communication.
• Collaborate with regional solution center teams, identify process obstacles and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on SCADA and EcoStructure ADMS product developments and share knowledge with less‑experienced team members.
• Deliver presentations or workshops to broaden skill sets across the organization.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience with SCADA, protection and control in power utilities.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA protocols such as DNP3, IEC 101/104 and ICCP.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, work in a multicultural environment and travel frequently.
