Technical Product Owner

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to act as the bridge between business stakeholders, Product Management, and engineering. You will translate product strategy into a technically sound backlog and work closely with Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Data to deliver features that drive measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously refine a clear, prioritized product backlog ready for delivery.
• Write user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria that engineering and QA can implement with minimal back‑and‑forth.
• Translate business objectives into actionable technical specifications.
• Leverage generative AI tools to draft and refine user stories, technical specs, and edge‑case scenarios.
• Partner with Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Architecture on solution design and delivery planning.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify and resolve technical dependencies, blockers, and delivery risks, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of requirements, workflows, APIs, integrations, and data flows.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Technical Product Manager in an Agile environment.
• Strong technical fluency: able to read API contracts, DB schemas, and sequence diagrams and discuss design with engineers.
• Hands‑on experience with APIs, microservices, system integrations, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven ability to write clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Effective stakeholder management, comfortable prioritising and negotiating with both engineers and executives.
• Practical experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Jira AI) to accelerate requirements gathering and documentation.
