Project Manager – Factory Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction of a high‑tech factory, overseeing everything from groundbreaking to final commissioning. The role demands strong technical expertise, decisive leadership, and a focus on safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute all site construction activities, heavy equipment positioning, and utility integration using MS Project or Primavera.
• Translate engineering drawings and specifications into daily site targets and monitor progress against detailed schedules.
• Supervise contractors, sub‑contractors, and consultants across civil, mechanical, electrical, and piping disciplines, ensuring compliance with designs and timelines.
• Oversee installation of core AAC factory components such as dosing systems, ball mills, cutting lines, and high‑pressure autoclaves.
• Resolve technical bottlenecks and contractor conflicts promptly to avoid schedule drift.
• Control project budget, approve progress invoices, and minimize material waste.
• Enforce zero‑tolerance safety practices, manage Permit‑to‑Work and Job Safety Analyses, and ensure compliance with Egyptian building codes and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8‑10 years of experience managing heavy industrial construction projects, preferably in AAC, cement, gypsum, precast concrete, or similar plant facilities.
• Proven track record of delivering a major factory expansion or greenfield project from foundation to commissioning.
• PMP or equivalent project‑management certification is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Strong ability to read and interpret AutoCAD civil and structural designs.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle for budget tracking and inventory management.
